Through government-supported regulations, businesses with a contracted demand of 1 MW or more (in most states) can generate or purchase solar power through the grid under different Open Access models. In Maharashtra, A green energy open access (GEOA) policy approved by the regulatory authority allows consumers with smaller loads to avail Open Access.
